Taiwan Calls on Ozzy for UN Membership Effort
If someone asked me last week to put "Taiwan," "United Nations" and "Ozzy Osbourne" into a sentence that made sense, I probably would have looked bewildered, stuttered and muttered something incoherent. Basically, I would have done a faithful Ozzy impersonation. Ask me this week, however, and I've got an answer. English rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has been enlisted to help Taiwan gain entrance to the United Nations. Pretty good sentence.

  Gwen Stefani To Play Hongers
The picture of Thrash metal band Testament from the last post was a little menacing and needed to be taken off as soon as possible. Therefore, just FYI, Gwen Stefani will be playing a concert in Hong Kong at something called the Asia World Arena on August 16. Sounds MEGA. These days Gwen Stefani kinda sounds like Fergie which definitely sounds like shite. Tickets will be a million (HK) dollars and Dolce & Gabana sunglasses are mandatory. She has no dates on the mainland though, so un-moneyed fans here in Shangers are SOL. Head off to her MySpace page to watch some videos of G.S. looking like a robot and to hear some new tracks of the lamentable 2006 release, "The Sweet Escape." Also, scroll down and have a look at Nino out of Stuttgart who signed her message board and for some reason left pictures of his dog for her.

Sound: New Releases June 19, 2007
Other than a new White Stripes album, a pretty quiet week in album releases. Unless you like Bon Jovi country records and bands that wear matching robes.
